Second Lieutenant Tate Osborn earns U.S. Air Force pilot rating

Second Lieutenant Tate Osborn, a 2020 graduate of Pella Christian High School and son of CJ and Pam Osborn of Newton, recently completed Undergraduate Pilot Training with the United States Air Force at the 71st Flying Training Wing, Vance Air Force Base, Enid, Okla.

Lt. Osborn earned his pilot rating on Sept. 16 and was formally recognized during a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 19. He has been assigned to fly the C-130J airframe.

Osborn graduated from Kansas State University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Park Management and Conservation.
