University of Nebraska-Lincoln

LINCOLN, NE — Vaughn Lee Thompson of Otley, earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with distinction from the College of Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

More than 6,700 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year that included Nick Pfantz of Mingo and Eli Owens of Runnells.

Iowa Connections Academy

Area students who graduated from Iowa Connections Academy include Kolbee Cupples, Hannah Dale and Dominic Smith.

Milwaukee School of Engineering

MILWAUKEE, WI — Charles Skinner of Newton, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List with High Honors for the 2025 Spring Semester. Skinner is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE — Upper Iowa University has announced the Dean’s List for the 2025 Spring Semester. To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade point average and be enrolled as a full-time student. WINONA AND RED WING, MN — Kassidy Block of Prairie City, was named to the president’s list at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona, Minn., for Spring Semester 2025.

University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Local students Charlotte Donahue of Colfax, dean’s list, and Treycen Garton of Newton, president’s list, received honors recognition during spring semester 2025 at the University of Alabama. The dean’s list requires an academic record of 3.5 (or above) and the president’s list requires an academic record of 4.0.

South Dakota State University

BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State University announces Owen Siegert of Melbourne, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.

Northwest Technical College

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bryne Whitcher of Newton, has earned dean’s list honors at Northwest Technical College for the Spring 2025 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, NTC students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester.

Wartburg College

MARSHALLTOWN — Area students named to the Spring 2025 (January to May) Dean’s List at Marshalltown Community College include: Grace Glass of Kellogg, Madeline White of Kellogg, Nathan Blair of Newton, Carrie Campbell of Newton and Jaden Norman of Newton. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. Grace Glass earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
