Jasper County Conservation Board will host an Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (OWLS) program on Wednesday, July 9 at the Jasper County Armory/Annex Building in Newton. The public is invited to come for 10 a.m. coffee and a presentation given by Kate Allen, a member of Goats on the Go. Allen takes her goats to different locations in western Jasper County and eastern Polk County to be used as a method for invasive species removal. Allen will discuss how the program works and show how goats have been key in helping with wildlife management.
The OWLS program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about the natural world.
