The Iowa Adventure Pass program is back at the Newton Public Library

The Iowa Adventure Pass is back thanks to the collaboration of libraries across the state and local museums and destinations.

After a pause to create a new website, the Iowa Adventure Pass is back thanks to the collaboration of libraries across the state and local museums and destinations. The Newton Public Library is offering the following venues via the Iowa Adventure Pass: The Blank Park Zoo, The Science Center of Iowa, The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and the Des Moines Children’s Museum. You may visit each of these venues once per calendar year with the Iowa Adventure Pass. The passes are not valid for special events at the venues.

The Iowa Adventure Pass is in high demand in the summer, so we recommend booking early to get your desired date. You may book the pass up to 60 days in advance of your visit.

How it works:

• Reserve a pass online at www.iowaadventurepass.org

• Print or download your confirmation.

• Show your confirmation and ID at the destination for free admission of two adults and two children (unless otherwise specified)

Who can borrow a pass from the Newton Public Library:

• Adult library card holders (age 18 and over) who reside in Newton, Lamb’s Grove or are a rural Jasper County resident. Persons outside of these parameters should check with their local library to see if the program is offered there.

• Account must be in good standing.

If you have any questions about the Iowa Adventure Pass, reach out to youth services librarian Phyllis Peter at 641-792-4108 or email phyllisp@newtongov.org.
