Newton’s own municipal band is seeking new members, as it prepares for the opening concert of the 2025 Summer Concerts in the Park Series. The first rehearsal for the band will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the band room at Newton Senior High School.
The band welcomes players from the ninth grade, to approximately age 99.
Four concerts will be presented this summer — May 29, June 12, June 26 and July 3 — at Fred Maytag Bowl, in beautiful Maytag Park, a delightful setting, in which to make music!
