The Courthouse lighting committee draws a name from the coupons submitted to them from the Newton News and Jasper County Advertiser, with a chance to flip the courthouse lights on at the lighting ceremony with a donation of $5 or more. Randy and Diane Wagner were this year’s pick to switch the lights on.
