Braving Grief Summer Support Group

The Newton Public Library is hosting a Braving Grief Summer Support Group for Children and Teens, presented by EveryStep Grief & Loss Services. This is a free support group for youth who have experienced loss from the death of a loved one, incarceration of a loved one, military deployment, divorce, abandonment or deportation. Youth will take part in discussion and activities focused on resiliency building, story sharing and peer connection.

The group will meet on Fridays in the library meeting room beginning June 21 through July 19, skipping July 5. Elementary-age students are invited to the 10 to 11 a.m. session and middle and high school students to the 11 a.m. to noon session.
