Youth group to travel to Tennessee

Newton’s Sacred Heart Catholic Church youth group will be doing a Faith Journey to Knoxville, Tenn., June 17-23. The Knights of Columbus of Council 2663 in Newton is helping with a donation of $1,500.

The Director of Faith Formation and Sr. High Youth Ministry, Luke Gregory, said he is working with a Catholic organization called Alive in You and they will plan the service work. Potential work projects are painting, simple building projects, cleaning up debris, landscaping, helping at a soup kitchen along with other possible projects.
