Cardinals to perform ‘The Music Man Jr.’ at NHS Center of Performance

Shipoopi, shipoopi, shipoopi: Classic family-friendly musical showing March 28, 29

Newton High School students will be performing "The Music Man Jr.” at 7 p.m. on March 28 and 29 in the Center of Performance.

Newton High School students will be performing “The Music Man Jr.” at 7 p.m. on March 28 and 29 in the Center of Performance. This beloved family-friendly show will be performing on a Thursday and Friday this year to ensure that students and their families are free to celebrate Easter weekend together. Tickets at the door are $6. The show is made possible by director Melinda Robertson, music director Leah Cope, tech director Noah Short and student choreographer Stella Bloom. Seniors Isaac Alexander and Kiara Butler play leads Prof. Harold Hill and librarian Marion Paroo. Select students from Berg Middle School and Newton elementary schools were invited to serve as “the River City Boys’ Band.”
