Way of the Cross Walk Friday

The Good Friday Way of the Cross Walk will begin at noon Friday, March 29. The walk will begin at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and proceed to First Presbyterian, United Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Congregational United Church of Christ, First Christian and First Lutheran churches. People will participate in the readings of the “stations of the cross” and remember the path Jesus walked on his way to the Cross. At each church there will be a time of reading scripture, singing and prayer. A wooden cross will proceed the group walking from church to church. Please remain in a quiet, solemn mood while walking between churches. The walk will take approximately one hour.

Mission Coalition, a group of ecumenical lay persons, is sponsoring this event. Everyone is welcome to attend and may join the group at any point along the walk.
