ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager course offered

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is sponsoring ServSafe, the national certification program for food service managers. The course will be Jan. 18 at the DMACC Newton Campus, 600 N. Second Ave. in Newton. All food service operations are required to have at least one certified staff person. Anyone interested in preparing and serving safe food is welcome to attend.

The cost of the course is $160 which includes eight hours of class time, a manual and the national certification exam. There is a $110 discount for Iowa Restaurant Association members. Registration is required by Dec. 28.
