The Vernon Company President and CEO Chris Vernon and Vice President of Sales and Marketing Lisa Hubbard were named No. 31 on Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) 2023 Counselor Power 50 list of the most influential executives in the $25.8 billion promotional products industry.
The Iowa business leaders moved up six spots on the ASI annual list, ranking 37th in 2022. According to Hubbard, exciting things are going on this year at Vernon, with more investment in state-of-the-art technology.
“We’ve seen such significant growth in our program business and fulfillment that we’re investing in a warehouse management system along with logistics software that will bring real-time inventory visibility, reporting and dashboards to us and to our customers’ fingertips,” Hubbard said.
Other improvements the duo is stewarding include investing in lead-generation software and improving their order entry system.
“This is all in our efforts to create the best customer experience and allow our account executives to work smarter and not harder and have the ability to do what they do best, which is selling,” she said.
The Vernon Company was founded in 1902 and remains headquartered in Newton.
ASI honored the Power 50 during the three-day ASI Power Summit Oct. 22-24 at the Langham Pasadena resort in Pasadena, Calif.
“It’s an honor to celebrate the forward-thinking leaders on this year’s prestigious Power 50,” Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI, the premier technology, marketing and information provider in the promo sector, said. “These visionaries are at the vanguard, fearlessly embracing profound shifts in consumer demands to help guarantee our industry’s enduring relevance.”
Introduced in 2006, the Counselor Power 50 annually spotlights distributor and supplier executives who exert considerable impact on the promotional products market. ASI Media executives gauge each candidate based on their accomplishments over the past year as well as their career-long track record.
