Introvert Book Club
Want to join a book club but just don’t have the time for a regular meeting? This is the book club for you! Each month there’s a new book selection, but there’s never a meeting. Pick up your copy of the book of the month at the library information desk. The June selection is “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt.
Iowa State Insect Zoo
June 6, 9 – 11 a.m.
Check out the Iowa State University Insect Zoo at the library! Unique insects from around the world will be on display during this free, drop-in style event. All ages welcome.
Choose Your Own M.E.S.S. with Will Stuck
June 7, 6 p.m.
Don’t miss this amazing show for children with Will Stuck - there will be a little bit of everything; music, science, and lots of humor! This program will be held on the library lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. No registration required.
Library Plant Swap
June 9, noon – 2 p.m.
Pick up something green at our summer plant swap! Drop off your extra or unwanted plants at the library June 6-8 and pick up a swap ticket for each plant you bring in. Donations may include houseplants, flowers, vegetables, perennials, and annuals. Bring your tickets back on June 9 between noon-2 p.m. to exchange them for new plants to take home! Take & Make Craft Kit: Painted Ladybug Rocks
Pick Up June 12 – 17
Pick up a free take & make craft kit and paint your own ladybug rocks! Crafters will need to supply their own paint brush, all other materials are included.
