League of Women Voters sees big attendance at final legislative gathering of the season

Jasper County lawmakers respond to current and controversial issues affecting Iowans

Constituents speak with elected leaders Sen. Ken Rozenboom, Rep. The last gathering of the season was well-attended by folks who wanted to ask questions and share concerns with their legislators.

While past issues like education and gun violence were talked about briefly, other topics like property taxes, the bills affecting transgender youth and the carbon pipeline, in addition to specific House and Senate files, were heavily discussed. Newton News will expand on some of these discussions in future articles.
