Wanted: Jasper County volunteers to Take Away Hunger

Lynnville Friends Church will host the Jasper County Take Away Hunger meal packaging event Nov. 5. Local volunteers are asked to form a team of 12 people and a donation of $30 per person ($360 per team) to help cover the costs of the highly nutritious meals packaged.

All are welcome, including church groups, service clubs, businesses, youth groups and individuals who would like to participate in the packaging event. Then contact Bill Bennett at info@jctakeawayhunger.org or call 515-257-6460 to reserve a time slot for your team. The deadline to register is Oct. 30.

Hundreds of Jasper County volunteers have worked together to help feed more than 630,000 meals for families with food insecurity locally as well as other U.S. states and countries throughout the world.
