Jasper County Extension Office announces 2022 Jasper County Farm Crawl

The Community and Economic Development arm of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Jasper County announced a sequel to last year’s successful Farm Crawl — the 2022 Jasper County Area Farm Crawl from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 27.

For those unfamiliar with a farm crawl, it is a self-guided tour of farm and farm-related businesses that offer a unique blend of foods, beverages and hand-made products. This year’s Farm Crawl features nine unique vendors offering such things as vegetables, woodworking crafts, antiques, livestock, honey and Aronia berries. Also included are stops at a winery and meadery.

“We are excited to have many of last year’s vendors on the Farm Crawl again this year — along with four new ones. With such a variety, we felt we should extend the hours to allow people to experience and enjoy the flavor of Jasper County,” Dan Nieland, Community and Economic Development Coordinator for ISU Extension & Outreach, said.

“We are lucky here in and around Jasper County to have a number of growers and makers. The Jasper County Area Farm Crawl is the perfect way for people to experience them firsthand,” Carol Camp, ISU Extension Program Coordinator for Horticulture/Local Foods, said.
