Blues Under the Blue Roof: John Mattingly & Washer City

Blues Under the Blue Roof returns this April with local musicians, John Mattingly and Washer City. This event is free to attend and will be held inside the Newton Public Library meeting room. Music lovers of all ages are welcome to attend. This music series is sponsored by the Arts Connection, the South Skunk Blues Society, and the Newton Public Library Foundation.

May Mystery Bag
Wondering what to read next? Check out our monthly mystery bags for adults. Mystery bags have a new theme every month and contain a surprise selection of 4-5 books and an adult craft. Return the books when you’re done with them; keep the craft. The May theme is “Judge This Book by Its Cover!” and includes a selection of fiction novels with our favorite cover art. The craft is a mini spring wreath. Registration opens April 25. Call the library at 641-792-4108 to register.
