Jasper County Recorder Denise Allan reminds boat owners that all State of Iowa DNR registrations for boats will expire April 30. The renewal period began Jan. 1.
Renewals may be done in person, by mail, online at www.co.jasper.ia.us/204/recorder or over the phone by credit card. To renew by mail, add $1 for postage and send the registration number for each boat you’d like to renew plus your phone number to: Jasper County Recorder, 101 First St. N., Rm 205, Newton, IA, 50208.
Beginning July 1, a $5 penalty will be applied.
Ask to upgrade your paper registration to a credit card (hard card) style registration. The card is $5 with one boat registration per card. See the Jasper County Recorder, IA, website for more information.
