Sully FRC to host National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 6 at the Gathering Place social room in First Reformed Church in Sully. Invite your friends and enjoy a social coffee time at 9 a.m., followed by a program and time of prayer. The theme for 2021 is 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.”

The nation and fellow citizens remain in need of the Spirit of the Lord — for His Spirit within us and in our daily lives — that we may have liberty from our sins and pain through Jesus’ blood shed on the cross.

In 1952 Congress passed a resolution signed by President Harry Truman established the day of prayer. Americans are blessed to have an opportunity to come together in prayer and fellowship one with another.
