Baxter Quilt Club presented five “Quilts of Valor” to Baxter area veterans recently. Four quilts were given at the Veterans Day program at the Baxter School, sponsored by American Legion Post 493. One quilt was presented at the veteran’s home. Quilt Club members have made and given 73 quilts to Baxter veterans since starting in 2014. Club members are Cynthia Baldwin, Linda Glenn, Beth Simbro, Chris Tipton and Marie VanBeek. This year’s deserving recipients were, from left: Jordan Wall, Mike Churchill, David Kolpin and Zacc Watt.
