Joel Lee Ingraham

Joel Lee Ingraham, 41, of Colfax, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at MercyOne West in Des Moines. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The son of Terry Ingraham and Vicky (Oliveria) Ingraham, Joel was born Oct. 3, 1979, in Des Moines. He attended Colfax-Mingo Schools. Joel started his working career at Blue Beacon Truck Wash and then decided to start automotive detailing. He detailed vehicles for several years at Joel Johnson Motor Car and Dewey Ford in Newton. Later he worked at Prairie City Concrete and Economy Forms in Des Moines. Joel was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.

Joel’s greatest moment in his life was the birth of his baby girl, Kaytlynn. He loved spending time with her and family. Joel always enjoyed going to the car races in Knoxville. He loved driving or riding in his Dad’s 1960 Corvette. Joel liked disc golfing, bowling, hunting for morel mushrooms and spending time with friends.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Kaytlynn Ingraham; his father, Terry Ingraham; his sister, Kristina (Larry Kochheiser) Ingraham; neice, Addison Kochheiser; nephew, Zevin Lander; as well as many aunts, uncles and extended family members. Joel was preceded in death by his mother, Vicky; grandmother, Mary Oliveria; grandparents, Marvin and Marjorie Ingraham.
