On election night at about 8pm, I was on the Facebook and ran across a young man who was in trouble. He was sick and homeless in Des Moines. As most of you already know, I have been working as an advocate for State Rep. Wes Breckenridge for five years. This is on a voluntary basis because I love people and love to help. After a few minutes of messaging a young man whose name was Brandon, I could tell this was an emergency situation. So while I was thinking, I called and left a message for Wes then continued to think how I could help Brandon.
While waiting for Wes to contact me back which only took about 15 minutes, I recalled a shelter for the homeless by Drake University where this young man was so called them and ended up getting two resources. Meanwhile, Wes sent me a text with a website to use. Hopefully, Brandon called one of the numbers and found someone who could help him.
This is the person who was reelected for State Representative. You couldn’t find a better person especially when that person takes time to help save one life! Thank you, State Rep. Wes Breckenridge for your help!
