I worked with Wes Breckenridge at the Newton Police Department for more than 20 years. Wes held many positions, patrol officer, drug task force officer, school resource officer, tactical team officer, and advanced to the rank of lieutenant. Wes worked and led with the same qualities and ethics that he has now.
His integrity and honesty can never be questioned. His years as a police officer gave him an unvarnished view of what the problems and the needs of our community are. He got a front row look at the opioid crisis, mental health crisis and the issues that develop from these problems. Wes is compassionate and a problem solver and he uses these skills representing us in the legislature.
I grew up in a law enforcement family, I worked as a police officer for 32 years. I would never support anybody who does not support the police. I know that Wes 100 percent supports the police.
