Lyceum “Leader” ranks first academically in Smila, Ukraine, seventh in region

Sofiya Gnedaya, principal of Lyceum “Leader” in our Sister City of Smila, Ukraine, posted the following on Facebook on Sept. 24 re: the Class of 2020:

“My dears, leaders. Dear graduates of 2020. Great news. Today we received the rating of secondary schools of Cherkasy region, which took the highest places in the rating of schools of Ukraine according to the results of the External Evaluation in 2020, compiled by the Information educational resource ‘Osvita.ua.’

“The results of external independent evaluation obtained by school graduates in 2020 were used as initial data for compiling the ranking of secondary schools.

“Out of 300 schools in the Cherkasy region, you and I entered the ‘top ten’, taking the honorable seventh place.  And if we talk about the schools of Smila, our ‘Leader’ took the first place. This is the result. This is a victory.

“Thanks! I’m proud! I love it!”

Congratulations to Sofiya, her colleagues and the 2020 graduates of Lyceum “Leader” as they progress in their studies and move into promising careers and positions of leadership in their city, region and nation.

This class includes OPEN’s former Newton High School students Alona Kosenko (2017-18) and Sofiia Mishchenko (2019-20).

Well done.
