David L. Schippers

David L. Schippers, 79, of Lynnville, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton. David’s graveside service was Monday, Oct. 5 at the Bethel Cemetery in rural Lynnville, conducted by Chaplain Kevin Glesener, lead chaplain at Vermeer with burial at the Bethel Cemetery in rural Lynnville.

Memorials to the Sully Fire Department may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., Newton, IA 50208. Please add, Attn: Schippers Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor David's memory are his wife of 59 years, Shirley of Lynnville; daughter, Malinda "Mindy" Schippers of Overland Park, Kan.; son, Todd Schippers (Geneva Mitchell) of Searsboro; his granddaughter, Brooke White of Overland Park, Kan.; sister, Phyllis Ditch of Marion; sister-in-law, Joan Rozendaal of Cedar Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
