I have worked at the Newton Fire Department for 32 years and for 24 of those years, on many occasions, I worked in continuity with former Officer Wes Breckenridge. His work ethic and integrity come first and foremost to mind when I think of those times we worked side by side. He truly cares for the well-being of our entire community. After Wes left the NPD, continuing his service to our community as a State Representative, he continued his
commitment to law enforcement as a member of the House Public Safety Committee and by also instructing future law enforcement at DMACC.
I have witnessed his desire to work the long hours and weekends that this position entails. He has shown his ability to work across party lines, he has reasonable policies, he works to protect the rights of all Iowans.
Wes has been active on boards and committees involved with mental illness, human trafficking, drug endangered children, veterans history project and supporting families of fallen officers. I truly believe Wes Breckenridge would be the best choice for State Representative. He is a common-sense politician who will use our taxpayer dollars in a responsible manner.
