Baxter's Tuhn, Conradi lead harriers at West Marshall

STATE CENTER — Baxter cross country coach Dennis Vaughn hopes his Bolts' teams are closer to full strength and back in the team race when they go to Nevada at the start of next week.

For now, Vaughn will settle for individual success.

Junior Elie Tuhn won her second race of the season and senior Kailee Conradi made her season debut to finish in the top five as Baxter had three girls and four boys for the West Marshall Trojan Cross Country Invitational on Monday.

Tuhn won the girls' 5K race in 21 minutes, 36 seconds. Conradi placed fourth in 23:19.

The other Baxter female in the race was freshman Regan Russell, who placed 28th in 27:31.

Collins-Maxwell won the team title with 36 points after putting six runners in the top 15. West Marshall was next with 42.

The top finishers in both varsity races earn medals.

In the boys' race, West Marshall's Nicolas Thompson was first in 18:12.

Baxter's top finisher was freshman Logan Jones (23:01) in 41st. Freshman Callyn Bishop (25:08) was 51st, freshman Keenan Varner (25:18) placed 52nd and sophomore Curtis Gliem (25:21) was 53rd.

Greene County won the boys' team title with 46 points. The Rams put their five scoring runners in the top 21.

The Bolts compete at Hickory Grove Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday in Colo.
