Scott McKeag

Scott McKeag, 57, of Newton, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at his home. No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation.

Scott, the son of Edward and Bessie (Van Baale) McKeag, was born Oct. 23, 1962, in Newton. He grew up in Iowa before moving to Missouri, where he graduated from high school. While in Missouri he took welding classes and also worked at the Walker Recreation Area at Fort Leonard Wood. He later returned to Iowa and worked for the Iowa DOT. Scott enjoyed riding snowmobiles and motorcycles and also camping with his family.

Scott is survived by his mother, Bessie McKeag of Newton; and brother, Rusty McKeag of Newton. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his father, Ed McKeag.
