‘Mask up Mustangs’

Elementary PTO and PTA holding fundraisers

The 2020-21 school year already has a different look and the Prairie City Elementary PTO and Monroe Elementary PTA are working to bring a fun option for school spirit. Both organizations are having fundraisers for masks, clothes and accessories beaming with PCM Pride.

“This is a great way to keep everyone safe but yet still being a part of the PTA fundraising. Even though our school is not a mandatory face mask school it’s still highly recommended and we were able to offer a mask to represent your school pride,” Monroe Elementary PTA President Kasandra Lynch said. “The PTA has really enjoyed seeing all of our administrators, staff, community and students masking up in their PCM Mustang spirit masks and scrunchies.”

The PTA is offering child and adult size masks in two varieties including the traditional mask and gaiter masks in crimson, gold, gray and black. The scrunchies are also available in the four colors.

Along with masks, the Prairie City Elementary PTO is offering PCM lanyards and PCM and PCE t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts in a variety of colors including maroon, gold, gray and black.

“This fundraiser was a great opportunity for the PTA to continue helping out our school with funding because last spring we were not able to do our big fundraisers that typically happen in the spring when everything got canceled,” Lynch said. “This is a great way to keep everyone safe but yet still being a part of the PTA fundraising.”

“The response of our fundraiser has been bigger than we anticipated,” Lynch said. “We are so appreciative for everyone who has masked up with the PTA.”
