Newton native’s book featured in new StoryWalk

Brooke Van Sickle is a Newton native, and her children’s book “Pirates Stuck at ‘C’: An Alphabet Adventure” is the new featured book in the StoryWalk at Agnes Patterson Park.

The public is invited to view the story by parking in the gravel parking lot between the ball fields. The first sign is by the concession stand. Simply follow the numbered signs along the sidewalk and view the entire picture book along the way.

The route is just less than one mile long and is completely on sidewalk, making it easy to view from a stroller, wheelchair or bicycle. The StoryWalk was a community project of the Newton Public Library, The Newton Wellness Coalition, The Newton Parks and the Friends of the Newton Public Library, with major financial support from Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy.

The Newton News featured Van Sickle in a story in December about starting her own publishing company.
