The Colfax Public Library is now open to the public at 50 percent capacity. Computer and iPad use will be by reservation only. Call 515-674-3625 to reserve a spot for computer use. Time will be limited so staff can serve as many people as possible. No reservation is required, just to come check out some books or movies. Hand sanitizer is available as you enter the library and patrons are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing while you are in the library. Frequently used surfaces, books, movies, computers and iPads will be sanitized after use.
Reading Logs are available to encourage kids to keep reading during the summer. They can read or be read to and should keep track of minutes using stickers and the library reading logs. Stop in to pick yours up. The final prize package will be a fun filled bag containing, squishies and games along with other small toys and miscellaneous items.
The library staff will continue to do curbside services for people who don’t choose to come in to the library. Services include faxing, copies, printing and book and movie checkouts. You can search the catalog at colfax.lib.ia.us.
