I was shocked when I heard the shelter (JCARL) was closing. This isn’t just a Newton facility but all of Jasper County.
There will be a large number of animals who will be without help. Kittens will be born to homeless mothers.
I have contributed money over the years and have adopted from the shelter. In a world filled with chaos this comes at a time when we need cheering up not another sad situation.
