Miller-Meeks shows dedication

To my friends in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District:

As voters cast their ballots in the Republican primary for Congress, my pick as the strongest candidate is clearly State Sen. Mariannette Miller-Meeks.

As a fellow military officer, I serve with the U.S. Air Force. During three combat deployments, I flew more than 700 air-combat hours in defense of our country. I understand the sacrifices that military personnel and their families make. Mariannette also knows firsthand what service and sacrifice are because she served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve for 24 years.

Mariannette’s military service especially impresses me because she’s one of those rare individuals who made the huge step from the enlisted ranks to officer, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Her extraordinary dedication, focus and discipline will serve her and our state well when she’s representing us in Congress. Too many people quit before they reach the finish line, but there’s no quit in Mariannette Miller-Meeks.

Her background as a physician and former director of the Iowa Department of Public Health are also unmatched assets in these uncertain times of COVID-19.

The choice is obvious: Mariannette Miller-Meeks for Congress.
