Linahon named an Academic All-Stater

Newton High senior Gage Linahon has been named to The Predicament’s 2020 Academic All-State team. The Predicament, an on-line Iowa wrestling media outlet, released its wrestling academic team recently.

Linahon was named to the first team. There was a second team and honorable mention honors awarded. Linahon finished as the 2020 state runner-up in the Class 3A 220-pound division and is a four-time 3A state tournament qualifier.

Linahon has signed to wrestle for Central College in Pella next year.
