Colfax-Mingo schools closing until April 13

Following a recommendation by Governor Kim Reynolds, Colfax-Mingo Community School District has decided to close the school for four weeks and possibly re-open April 13. During the closure, all district building will be closed, all activities and practices are canceled and entry by non-essential personnel into all facility will be permitted only with specific approval from the superintendent.

According to administration, the district has applied to be able to offer lunches for all students, potentially starting March 23. Specifics for the project will be shared later in the week, once approval is received. The project would include lunches and be a grab-and-go style meal with students not staying in the building.

“Thank you for your patience as we navigate this stressful, uncertain time for everyone,” the release stated.
