Colfax-Mingo senior Brady Berkey ranked in the top 10 in the South Iowa Cedar League in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks this past season.
He was the Tigerhawks’ leading scorer and that helped him claim first-team all-conference honors in the SICL.
Two other C-M players earned recognition as juniors Jacob Nichols and David Rague were both honorable mention selections.
Berkey averaged 18 points, 7.3 rebounds, five assists, 2.5 steals and 1.7 blocks per game this season for the Tigerhawks. He shot 44.2 percent from the floor, 25.5 percent from 3-point range and 74 percent from the foul line. He made 25 3-pointers.
In conference play, Berkey ranked fifth in the SICL at 16.6 points per game, was third in assists and blocks with 83 and 27, respectively, and ranked fifth with 42 steals.
He averaged 5.2 assists, 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. Berkey made 19 3-pointers, shot 42.6 percent from the floor, 28.4 percent from 3-point range and 67 percent from the line.
Nichols was the Tigerhawks’ second-leading scorer and leading rebounder. He averaged 11.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game and also had 14 steals and four blocks. He made 10 treys, shot 41.3 percent from the floor, 19.6 percent from 3-point range and 62.5 percent from the line.
In conference play, Nichols ranked fifth in the SICL in rebounding at 9.9 per game. He also averaged 11.2 points and 1.3 assists per game and finished with 11 steals and four blocks. He hit five 3-pointers, shot 40 percent from the floor, 14.3 percent from 3-point range and 64 percent from the line.
Rague averaged 9.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 3.2 steals per game while also blocking 18 shots. He made 27 3-pointers, shot 36.3 percent from the floor, 29 percent from 3-point range and 51.4 percent from the foul line.
In conference play, Rague ranked second in steals at 3.2 per game. He also averaged nine points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while blocking 12 shots. Rague drained 24 treys, shot 33 percent from the floor, 32 percent from 3-point range and 50 percent from the line.
