David L. Faidley

David L. Faidley, 65, of Fairhaven Township, Minn., died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at his home.

Private family services will be held.

David Lloyd Faidley was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Newton, to Lloyd and Wanda (Bollhoefer) Faidley. He graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1973, and received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in business administration and accounting in 1977. Throughout his working career, he spent time at General Mills and Pillsbury in Minneapolis, DataServ in Chanhassen and was CFO at Marketing Concepts in Sauk Rapids. Dave enjoyed sports, music and old TV shows. He was a history buff, taking special interest in genealogy, stamps and coins. Dave loved being outdoors. He took great pride in his yard, flower gardens and vegetable garden. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his friends; cold beer in hand.

He is survived by his two children, David (Colette) Faidley of Richfield, Minn., and Kristen Faidley of Chanhassen, Minn.; grandson, Weston; former wife, Rhonda Backus of Chanhassen, Minn.; sister, Marla (Faidley) VanderWerff of Windsor Heights; and his best friend, Buck, his yellow lab. Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
