L-S Hawks split duals with HLV, North Tama

VICTOR — With only two contested matches in the dual, Lynnville-Sully and host HLV were tied 30-30 on Thursday night. Each team had four forfeit wins and there were two weight classes with no wrestlers.

Lynnville-Sully (3-7) won 31-30 on critera. The Hawks dropped a 30-27 dual decision to North Tama.

Malcolm Hay went 2-0 on the night with a pin against HLV’s Marcus Kolesar and a 5-2 decision over North Tama’s Logan Rausch at 138. At 126 in the HLV dual, Caleb Rea lost by a fall to HLV’s Mason Fruendt.

Gentry Walston (113) and Reese Dunsbergen (152) won by pins against North Tama’s Cale Bradley and Ashton Bradley, respectively. Brodey Johnson was pinned by North Tama’s Cory Eisenhower at 145.

Forfeit wins went to Lynnville-Sully’s Walston (113), Johnson (145), Dunsbergen (152) and Elizabeth Elliott (106) in the HLV dual. Against North Tama, Elliott (106) and Rea (120) got forfeit wins.

Lynnville-Sully competes at 10 a.m. Saturday in the North Mahaska Invitational in New Sharon.
