Baxter wrestling loses three times at AGWSR

ACKLEY — Cole Smith won a pair of matches during Baxter’s wrestling team’s quadrangular hosted by AGWSR on Dec. 12.

The Bolts lost 54-6 to North Tama, were defeated 52-6 by Columbus Catholic and won a pair of decisions in a 66-6 loss to host AGWSR.

Against AGWSR, Smith won an 8-7 decision at 120 and Brad Matthews scored a 4-1 win at 160.

The only win for Baxter (0-5) against North Tama was a forfeit Smith took at 120. Micah Kearns took a forfeit against Columbus Catholic at 285.

The Bolts competed at East Marshall on Dec. 17. That was the final competition before the holiday break.
