Police Department Nov. 26, 2019

Newton Police Department

• Scot A. Stewart Jr., 21, of Newton, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Nov. 18 at the adult probation office on a Marion County warrant for third degree burglary. He was turned over to Marion County.

• Dominic T. Vasquez, 38, of Newton, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. Nov. 24 in the 1800 block of First Avenue East on a warrant for failure to appear for a parole violation. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Joshua D. Stubbe, 32, of Newton, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. Nov. 21 in the 600 block of East 13th Street North on 14 total warrants from Monroe Police Department, Prairie City Police Department, Marshalltown Police Department and a parole violation warrant. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Breeanna M. King, 24, of Newton, and Aaron K. Anderson, 44, of Newton, were charged with fifth-degree theft at 2:09 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 300 block of Iowa Speedway Drive. According to the Newton Police Department, officers responded to a call at Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. When Newton police arrived, they were met with a male and a female identified at King and Anderson. Officers asked Walmart employees what they would like done and they advised charges. Newton police read King and Anderson their Miranda warnings and asked them if they were going to pay for the items and they stated “no” and the total of the items was $70. They were arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
