Molly Mae Kaput, 98, of Conrad, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Conrad United Methodist Church in Conrad, with Rev. Gerry Kahler officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of the service, Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the church. Interment will be in the Conrad Cemetery in Conrad. Molly was born Aug. 8, 1921, to William and Grace (Holl) Stover in Dows. She attended country school in Dows through the eighth grade. Molly was united in marriage to John M. Kaput Aug. 28, 1941, in Grundy Center. She was a housewife and loved being married to a farmer. Molly lived in Whitten for more than 70 years. She was president of the Union-Whitten PTA, president of the Kappa-Iota Club and was a member of the Conrad United Methodist Church.
Molly is survived by her sons, Gary (Sandy) Kaput of Newton and Roger (MaryAnn) Kaput of Marshalltown; granddaughter, Tara (Jason) Eintracht of Seattle, Wash., grandson, Travis Kaput of San Antonio, Texas, granddaughter, Trisha (Luis) Marquis of Los Angeles, Calif., grandson, Drew Kaput of Grinnell and granddaughter, Megan (Ryan) McGehee of State Center; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter-in-law, Anita Kaput; and six brothers.
