PCM volleyball ends season at No. 13 Nevada

NEVADA — Class 3A No. 13 Nevada made quick work of Prairie City-Monroe's volleyball team during the opening round of the 3A Region 7 tournament.

The Cubs eliminated the Mustangs 25-7, 25-18, 25-8 to advance to the regional semifinals.

PCM had eight kills in the match, two each by Shelby Voeller and Celeste Wagaman. Voeller also had six assists, four digs, three blocks and one ace to lead PCM, which ended its season at 5-23.

Chloe Inskeep had five digs and Chelsea Bird and Claire Wilson both had four digs. Wilson, Bird and Bella Stone all finished with two aces. Kassidy Block tallied two blocks.

PCM had seven aces but missed six serves.

Nevada (31-9) takes on North Polk (30-10) in the regional semifinals at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Nevada.
