Mary E. Morrow, 80, of Newton, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital may be left at the funeral home.

Mary, the daughter of Pete and Doris (Scheffers) Dingeman, was born Oct. 23, 1938, in Pella. She grew up in Pella before moving to Newton in her teen years. On June 1, 1956, Mary was united in marriage with Gene Fults in Newton. Following his death in 1981, she was married to Gale Morrow. Mary worked at the Maytag Company for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the UAW Local 997. Mary had many pastimes that included embroidery work, playing cards, camping, fishing and spending time on her computer. She had a love for old country and bluegrass music and enjoyed supporting her son and daughter-in-law’s band, Highway Home. Mary also liked watching her favorite tv shows including Gunsmoke, Bluebloods and the Golden Girls. Mary was adored by her family and she loved spending time with all of them.

Mary is survived by her children, Lonnie (Kathy) Fults of Kellogg, Melissa (Jim) Robinson of Newton and Amy (Todd) Trease of Newton; seven grandchildren, Shane (Amy) Engle, Stephanie (Justin) Taylor, Angie (Josh) Mohler, Luke Fults, Matt (Angie) Fults, Molly Bruns and Katie Fults; her 12 great-grandchildren, Tessa, Taylor, Noah, Madison, Dillon, Kaleb, Isabelle, Lexi, Drew, Adelyn, Ella and Quinten; siblings, Don (Joann) Dingeman of Del Rio, Texas, Marge Calvin of Oskaloosa and Vickie Walter of Newton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gene Fults; second husband, Gale Morrow; son, David Fults; and sister, Ginny Simpson.
