Gunsaulus to serve in new position at Newton CRC

Aaron Gunsaulus, who has served as the pastor of Newton Christian Reformed Church at 511 S. Fifth Ave. E. for 10 years in a licensed capacity, will be installed as the ordained Minister of the Word in the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.

Gunsaulus has been working for several years to complete his master of divinity degree and meet denominational requirements for ordination. He recently completed this work and sustained his ordination exam Sept. 20.

After the service, there will be a time of fellowship with refreshments and coffee, followed by a potluck luncheon at noon. Newton CRC invites any and all friends of the church to attend the service and join in the celebration afterward.
