Newton Police
Department
• Chamberley M. Danley, 28, of Phoenix, Ariz., was arrested at the Newton Police Department after turning herself in at 4:01 p.m. June 9 on a Marion County warrant for a probation violation. She was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
• Cameron W. Ferrell, 30, of Newton, was charged with operating while under the influence at 4:57 p.m. June 4 in the 500 block of East 21st Street South. According to Newton police, officers conducted a field sobriety test on Ferrell which he did not pass. Cameron did take the preliminary breath test and blew over the legal limit of .08. This was his second offense. Ferrell was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
• John A. Morgan, 31, of Des Moines, was charged with trespassing at 12:40 a.m. June 11. According to Newton police, officers responded to someone trying to enter a residence in the 600 block of South 14th Avenue West. The subject was identified as Morgan and dispatch advised the officers it was possible he had a knife. The NPD made contact with Morgan in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street South. Morgan was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
