Pella Regional’s Monroe Clinic closing in July

Pella Regional Health Center recently announces the Monroe Medical Clinic will be closing July 19 after more than 20 years in the community.

As of July 19, the Pella Regional Health Center’s Medical Clinic in Monroe will no longer provide services to the community. The satellite location will close it’s doors after opening in Monroe more than 20 years ago in November 1996.

“We don’t get a ton of volume at the Monroe Clinic and we have clinics close by in Prairie City, Knoxville, Pella and Sully,” director of marketing Billie Rhamy said. “The provider currently in Monroe will be in Sully.”

A letter was sent to patients currently using the clinic in April explaining options for them at other Pella Regional facilities. Stated in the letter were provider locations, names and specialties available at each of the other locations.

It also directed patients to schedule appointments in the My Pella Health Patient Portal, at pellahealth.org/requestanappointment or to call the clinic of their choice.

No update was given on how the building will be utilized in the future.
