Newton boys tennis team falls to Norwalk

Newton High’s Cardinal boys dropped an 11-0 dual decision in Little Hawkeye Conference tennis play Thursday at home against Norwalk.

The Cardinals are 0-3 in LHC dual competition. They are 1-5 overall. They host Indianola in LHC action at 4:15 p.m. next Thursday at Aurora Heights Park.

In singles matches: No. 1-AJ ClarkWilt (No) 6-2, 6-2 over Collin Hemann (Ne); Drew Hall (No) 7-6(50, 4-6, 7-6; No. 3-Carter LaVelle (no) 6-3, 6-0 over Blake Sevenbergen (Ne); No. 4-Jacob Joss (No) 6-3, 6-2 over Trent Hamand (Ne); No. 5-Nate Spurr (No) 6-4, 6-2 over Nicholas Tremel (Ne); No. 6-Noah Rees (No) 6-1, 6-0 over Blake Baumgartner (Ne).
