Baxter boys finish sixth at South Hamilton

JEWELL — Will Clapper scored 20 of Bolts’ 52 points as Baxter’s boys’ track and field team was sixth at the South Hamilton Hawk Relays on Thursday.

Clapper won the shot put (51 feet, 4 inches) and discus (130-7), while Ian Thomson was third in the 3,200-meter run (10 minutes, 57.90 seconds).

Des Moines Christian and North Polk both scored 128 points at the top of the team standings.

Baxter’s boys go to Des Moines Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday in Urbandale.
