OSKALOOSA — Prairie City-Monroe’s girls’ golf team got its season off to a strong start on Tuesday night.
The Mustangs claimed the top four scores overall and dominated Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont by 68 strokes at Harvest Point Golf Course.
PCM shot a 200 to win the dual. The Rockets carded a 268.
“We played really well and will look to improve our short game over the next couple of weeks,” PCM girls’ golf coach Tony Ford said.
Alexis Dross earned medalist honors with an 11-over-par 46. Mack Bussan was the runner-up with a 48, and Allison Wood and Brooke Dross tied for third with 53s.
EBF’s top two scores were 63 and 66. PCM’s Magan Van Haaften and Gabbi Van Baale turned in non-counting scores of 68 and 69, respectively.
