McKay to sign novel at Mattingly Music and Book Store

Tom McKay will be signing his novel, "Another Life," from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 17 at Mattingly Music and Book Store on the square in Newton. Another Life is the story of what happens to a high school crush 38 years later. The novel is set in central Iowa. Muscatine author, Misty Urban, calls "Another Life" "a sweet and soulful story."

McKay is a graduate of Cornell College and formerly supervised historic sites for the Iowa State Historical Department. He is the author of the novel,West Fork, published by Augustana College. His short story "Paper or Plastic" recently appeared in "So It Goes: The Literary Journal of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library."
